Blog Task 3-Analysing Blogs and a Title Sequence.

Welcome to another post!
In this post i will be reviewing /analysing a 'Title sequence' created by the previous year of media students and i will be analysing their blog.

Title Sequence

The title sequence i am reviewing is by a group consisting of; Selin,Morgan, Ayse and Canberk.

First things first the representation of the Candi Studios logo and their logo Quantum distribution is presented very well.  It doesn't provide the feel of scrap work. It genuinely looks very appealing.
The 'radial blur' effect that they used in the logo and both the first few shots already captivates the idea of it being a thriller.

We get a sense of an intense atmosphere. The first shot is an extreme close up on someones hands rattling against the table- this creates the idea of panic or anxiousness.

-In addition to this, the music that is used already creates a ringing sense of eeriness or ominous.
The shots are very fast and  have an increased pace between one another. The editing is clearly deliberate in the sense of constantly cutting from one scene to another.
This is well used as at the start it cuts from the fingers, to the sky then back to hands that are tightening ropes very vigorously.

They make use of very good locations. They decided to film in a very dark eerie room with one guy who seems to be the antagonist. From what i  can see he has either murdered a man by hanging him- they make use of making the rope snap deliberately.

They use a pan to show the rest of his body slowly. This creates another idea of suspense.
They efficiently make use of the effects that they were able to use. They use an effect when the character is limping/walking that gives the impression of disorientated vision/poor health and weak,

later we are provided with the same shots as previously used and a new shot where the mans body is tied up. From this clip and the previous clips it is quite evident that the man has been killed.
-Lastly, they did make use of adding all names into the title sequence,

*A negative i see is that there aren't a vas variety of different shots. Many of the shots seem to be close ups and extreme close ups.
*Another thing is where the body is dead on the floor, it is in broad daylight which takes away from the idea of a thriller. This is because there are people that are seen in the daylight which means the story is dampened by the fact that they could help.
-Instead, they could have recorded at night or the evening where the lighting is darker to help contrast that effect ti the rest of the Title Sequence.

The Blog:

The blog that i will be checking out is by Group 28 consisting of,Jada, Talia Beale and Sandy-Hersh.

Things that i really like about the blog are how tidy it is. Everything seems to be done in a clean orderly fashion making it very easy to follow.
They use animations and many videos that allow the users of the blog to absorb the information without being lost.
All of the blogs contain the same relative amount of information. This means that there aren't parts where it is looking bare and no research seems to have taken place. Everything has some sort of context behind it making the blog very easy to follow.
Once more the fact that it is very tidy allows it to be really easy to navigate.

I like the amount of different ICT apps that are used. They use a variety of different ict apps such as youtube, scribe, visme and google + which allows them to add images and videos without ruining the quality of representation.
